The Kapasseni Project

How Can I Help?

We appreciate your help in any way, including volunteering your time, making donations, telling people you know about the Kapasseni Project, and holding Joseph and Perpetua and the people of Kapasseni in your thoughts and prayers.

On a broader level, you could consider actions you can take to reduce poverty such as, supporting fair trade, international assistance, universal primary education, basic healthcare, debt relief, and job creation in Africa.

Volunteering
The Kapasseni project in Canada is run entirely by volunteers, and what we accomplish is partly dependent on who we have to help us. We have an ongoing need for volunteers, so please contact us if you feel moved that way.

General Donations
We allocate all general or unspecified donations to the ongoing education, health care, development and community work of the project, including Kapasseni School, the village health centre, agriculture projects, and village development. This work is completely inclusive and non-religious. General donations will not be used for Joseph's mission work.

Joseph's Mission Work
A special fund is set up to support Joseph's Lutheran church work in Mozambique. If you specifically wish to support this work, please mark your donation "Mission Work". These funds will pay for a small salary for Joseph, supplies, transportation, and help with school costs for the Alfazema children.

Donation cheques can be sent to:

"Kapasseni Project", Redeemer Lutheran Church, 911 Jenkins Avenue
Victoria, British Columbia V9B 2N8 CANADA

Please make cheques payable to Redeemer Lutheran Church. In the memo section of your cheque please indicate whether you wish the funds to go towards "General Funds" or Joseph's "Mission Work". A receipt for income tax purposes will be sent for all amounts over $10.

Kuwangisana
Perpetua's home based care program helps people with HIV/AIDS, their vulnerable children, and grandparents caring for orphans. Donations can be made through www.caiaconnection.com
